Job Summary

A Dental Medical Center Manager plays a pivotal role in the successful operation of a dental medical center. They are responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and operational functions of the center, ensuring the highest level of patient care, compliance with regulations, and efficient business operations. Leadership and organizational skills will be crucial in creating a positive and productive work environment for both staff and patients.

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of dental professionals, including dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff.
  • Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, communication, and professional development.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.
  • Handle patient complaints and concerns, striving to resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Oversee scheduling, appointment booking, and patient records management.
  • Manage billing, insurance claims, and financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain and update patient confidentiality and data protection standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with dental industry regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Ensure the dental center adheres to all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Develop and manage the budget for the dental center, tracking expenses and revenues.
  • Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of dental equipment and the facility.
  • Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain patients.
  • Explore opportunities for business growth and expansion, such as adding new services or specialties.
  • Prepare regular reports for the higher management, summarizing the dental center's performance and key metrics.
  • Determine the key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that are relevant to the dental center's goals and objectives.
  • Analyze the collected data to extract meaningful insights and trends. Compare current performance with historical data and benchmarks to provide context.
  • Manage inventory levels and supplies to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the dental center.
  • Categorize the inventory into different groups based on their criticality and usage.
  • Determine the minimum and maximum quantity levels for each category.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.

Required Experience

  • Relevant experience in healthcare or dental practice management (2+ years).
