Overview

We are seeking a full-time Corporate Recruiter in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing recruiting partnership and guiding leadership through the selection process with development of cost effective, creative, and strategic sourcing avenues, assisting with the identification of and recruitment of professional and high-quality candidates while advancing Garmin’s brand name across numerous organizations, markets and the community.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as subject matter expert for manager and director level hiring managers in proactively recruiting, screening and interviewing for experienced positions in assigned business segments including reviewing candidate applications, resumes, and transcripts for a solid match with job requirements
  • Leverage relationships with stakeholders to proactively understand needs for assigned positions including developing knowledge of new technologies and products that could influence future recruitment needs
  • Ensure data integrity by attaching accurate, complete and thorough documentation and tracking for each candidate in Garmin's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and knowledge sharing on best practices
  • Participate in analysis and review of recruitment statistics to recommend future recruitment investments for achievement of Human Resources (HR) tactical and strategic goals
  • Conduct candidate searches using existing sourcing options (job boards, social media, networks, ATS) to connect with and develop candidate interest and seek out new sourcing options for consideration by recruitment leadership team
  • Participate in the annual creation of a strategic sourcing plan for assigned business segment(s) (all levels)
  • Proactively researches innovative recruitment strategies and programs and recommends suggestions to recruitment leadership on creative plans for recruitments events, job fairs, presentations and other recruitment activities specific to assigned positions
  • Manage medium sized projects and gaining buy-in by stakeholders


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, Business or related field AND a minimum of 5 years human resources experience OR Master’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, Business or related field AND a minimum of 3 years human resources experience
  • Must demonstrate a proven track record in effectively sourcing of active and passive candidates
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams
  • Must demonstrate a high level of customer service and interpersonal understanding with the ability to create and build relationships
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, analytical, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent presentation skills and public speaking
  • Must be flexible, including willing and able to travel up to 10%
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately


Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience handling employee relations matters and dealing with confidential Human Resources matters
  • Human Resources certification
  • Previous experience with sourcing, recruiting and hiring for marketing, sales, and/or operations positions
  • Experience working with ATS
