About GenScript ProBio

GenScript ProBio is the subsidiary of GenScript Biotech Corporation, proactively providing end-to-end CDMO service from drug discovery to commercialization with proactive strategies, professional solutions and efficient processes in cell and gene therapy (CGT), vaccine, biologics discovery and antibody protein drug to accelerate drug development for customers. GenScript ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing. In terms of plasmid service, GenScript ProBio supports the most clinical approvals for CGT drugs including mRNA vaccines, CAR-T in China. It is also the first GMP manufacturing platform to provide in vitro transcription (IVT) template linearized plasmids for mRNA vaccines and has supported several mRNA vaccine global enterprises to obtain clinical approvals. In terms of viral vector service, GenScript ProBio has a stable and high-yield viral vector platform.

Job Scope

GenScript legal department has a mid-sized in-house legal team, responsible for legal and compliances issues globally. The legal department offers great opportunities of growth for its lawyers and supporting members who are committed to grow with the company.

Key Responsibilities

• General Corporate:
• Review contracts and provide legal supports to businesses of EU and US markets
• Conduct legal research on legal issues assigned by supervising attorney
• Coordinating with headquarters Secretary Office to support corporate organizational works for EU and US legal entities, verification, clarification and documenting organizational structures
• Collect, organize and update new developments on laws, regulations, and relevant cases related to technology industry, employment/HR, public tender, EHS, GDPR, etc., for compliance purposes
• Litigation Management:
• Manage litigation cases, legal research on key case issues
• Collect information, internal investigation, manage outside counsel
• Immigration/work permit related tasks:
• Coordinate with HR and outside law firm on employment related immigration or visa matters
• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervising attorney.
  

Qualifications

• Law degree (J.D.) plus two years of legal experience as licensed lawyer with a law firm or an in-house legal team; or LLM degree, passed a U.S. State bar, with two years legal experience
• Motivation and committed to perform solid ground work and find opportunity to grow in the legal field.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to details and effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, multi-lingual with US and EU countries’ languages and Chinese mandarin language a plus but not required.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and create solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
