Job Title: Corporate Counsel - Real Estate

Location: Remote (Preference for candidates based in Austin, TX)

Job Description

As a Corporate Counsel - Real Estate at our company, you'll be a key member of our growing Real Estate and Commercial Contracting legal team. Reporting directly to the Corporate Counsel - Real Estate and Commercial Contracting, you'll collaborate with our legal team to support our New Centers, Facilities, and Finance teams in achieving our mission. While this position may be remote, we have a preference for candidates willing to work from our Austin headquarters 1-3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Review and negotiate leases and related agreements for new and existing ABC centers.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal clients, landlords, and brokers to manage ABC's real estate portfolio.
  • Develop and apply ABC's real estate negotiation playbook for various real estate-related documents.
  • Assist in resolving landlord/tenant disputes and manage real estate litigation matters.
  • Provide general administrative support as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in at least one state; Arizona, Colorado, or Texas preferred.
  • 3-7 years of related law firm or in-house experience, preferably in a retail or healthcare setting with a large real estate portfolio.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 15%).
