The Compensation Specialist is responsible for the design, analysis, and administration of Dollar Tree’s compensation plans, programs, and policies. The position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of compensation programs. Duties include administration of store and distribution center bonus programs, responding to associate questions related to our bonus programs, incentive design analysis, assessing the budgetary impact of compensation decisions, and providing oversight of compliance with all applicable regulations and labor laws.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide analytical support for compensation programs across all lines of business: Corporate, Supply Chain, and Store Operations.

• Responsible for maintaining the Company’s salary structures.

• Lead the Company’s participation in salary surveys and analysis of results.

• Provide support to the annual performance process, including, merit planning, bonus accrual and calculations, and administration of LTI awards for all associates.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs and make recommendations for enhancements that deliver on Dollar Tree’s commitment to pay for performance.

• Collaborate with all areas of the business to assist with the design, implementation, and communication of compensation programs.

• Create and maintain documentation for compensation programs and procedures..

• Participate in the development of compensation education and training materials.

• Participate in special projects related to compensation programs or systems.


Education & Experience:

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large data sets preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Compensation experience in a retail or Supply Chain organization preferred.

• Experience with retail or sales compensation preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field preferred.
