Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Role Description

As the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, you will report directly to our President & CEO and will be instrumental in shaping and implementing our company's growth strategy. Your responsibilities will include overseeing a dynamic team that handles field sales, sales operations, customer experience projects, sourcing, and creative & technical services. By joining our executive team, you will collaborate closely with leaders from various departments to drive innovation and excellence in our market.

Responsibilities

Sales:

  • Collaborate with the President & CEO to define and implement long-term growth strategies and annual sales plans.
  • Lead and motivate our sales team to expand existing client relationships and cultivate new opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives to enhance our brand and competitive position.
  • Utilize data analytics to drive sales performance improvements and identify growth possibilities.
  • Manage critical aspects of the sales process, including pricing strategies, vendor qualification, and customer negotiations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the sales team to help them achieve targets and encourage professional development.
  • Create a positive team culture through incentives and effective performance management.
  • Foster collaboration between sales and other departments to ensure seamless integration.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and competitive landscape to make informed strategic decisions.

Operations

  • Design and optimize sales processes to improve customer acquisition experiences.
  • Manage product development, sourcing, and creative & technical services to support sales goals.
  • Streamline internal workflows and enhance interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Drive the implementation of sales tools and technologies for increased productivity.
  • Oversee customer contracts and pricing strategies to enhance profitability and satisfaction.
  • Support organizational change efforts and contribute to a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Over 15 years of operations experience, including significant leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in sales management within supply chain, packaging, or distribution industries.
  • Proven track record of strategic planning and execution in competitive markets.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and drive organizational change.
  • Bachelor's degree is required; MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce.
