Athletic Trainer

Anderson University located in central Indiana is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Athletic Trainer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assist Director of Sports Medicine in all aspects of the Sports Medicine Department including, evlaulation, treatment, rehabilitation, documentation of athletic injuries, supervision and teaching of students in the Athletic Training program, and provide on-site coverage for athletic teams as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred. BOC certified. Must be willing to supervise and teach athletic training students. Ability to work as part of a team environment. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to and ability to work with a diverse student population. An understanding of and commitment to the mission of a Christian college is required.

Candidates should have belief in and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith as interpreted through the historic witness of the Bible and the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit. They should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application. Must meet university lifestyle expectations.

This is a 10-month position.

The Bill and Gloria Gaither Sports Medicine Center is located in the Kardatzke Wellness Center (KWC), a 132,000 sq. ft. facility providing programming for health, recreation, and wellness in all forms-spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially.

The Bill and Gloria Gaither Sports Medicine Center is a 4,000 sq. ft. space that houses 4 athletic trainers and 1 graduate assistant, a physician’s office, a large open treatment/rehabilitation area with appropriate modalities, locker rooms for staff, and an extensive hydrotherapy area, in addition to a 450 sq. ft. dedicated taping area.
