The Associate General Counsel will support the General Counsel in all legal matters related to real estate transactions, leasing, and financing. This role requires a legal professional with substantial experience in real estate law, who can effectively manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the General Counsel in managing and overseeing real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
Provide legal advice and support on leasing matters, including negotiating and drafting lease agreements.
Support financing activities by reviewing and negotiating loan documents and related agreements.
Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, property management, and development, to provide legal guidance on various projects.
Manage and coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
Stay current with real estate laws and regulations to ensure the firm’s practices are in compliance.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the State Bar of Florida or eligibility for admission as in-house counsel.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with real estate transactions and commercial/retail leasing corporate legal setting or at a reputable law firm.
Strong knowledge of real estate law, including transactions, leasing, and financing.
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
