About the Role

Kenny Flowers is seeking an experienced, organized, energetic, and dynamic Store Manager Assistant to help us bring the island life to our flagship store on King Street in Charleston! The ideal candidate should have a passion for swim and apparel, some experience leading a team, and a track record of driving sales growth in retail environments.

The Store Manager Assistant will report directly to the Store Manager and will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing all aspects of the store's operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, visual merchandising, and staff hiring, training, and development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• You'll work with the Store Manager to bring our upscale, tropical brand to life in our new physical store and greet customers with a warm smile, a "welcome to paradise" attitude.
• It's all in the details - you'll work with the Store Manager to maintain visual merchandising standards to create an Instagram-worthy shopping experience for customers. Whether it's arranging the perfect palm tree display or making sure our beachy tunes are on point, you'll help ensure that our customers feel like they're on a tropical getaway as soon as they enter the store.
• You'll model sales expectations by utilizing various techniques and communicating product knowledge to the team and customers.
• You'll support the Store Manager in hiring, training and developing staff members to ensure they are knowledgeable about the products, customer service standards, and sales techniques.
• You'll help the Store Manager in managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and timely replenishment of merchandise. You'll also assist in analyzing sales performance data to identify opportunities for improvement. You'll work with the Store Manager to manage staff scheduling, payroll, and other administrative duties as needed.
• You'll assist the Store Manager in ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols. Safety first, even in paradise!
• You'll support the Store Manager in organizing in-store pop-up events to keep the shopping experience fresh and exciting for our customers. Whether that’s a beachy happy hour partnering with a local beverage brand or an end of season sample sale, you'll help ensure that our customers have a blast and keep coming back for more.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-3 years of experience as an assistant manager in the apparel or swim industry with proven sales results.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a track record of supporting and building successful teams.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale software.
• Bachelor's degree in business, retail, or a related field is preferred.

• The Store Manager will be your go-to for support and guidance, from the store set-up process to ongoing management to ensure the success of our first retail location.
• Our customers are the reason we do what we do, and you'll work tirelessly with the Store Manager to ensure that they have the best experience possible. You'll be the face of the Kenny Flowers brand and a true ambassador for island life.
• The retail store associates who you will assist in managing and developing.
