Architectural Designers at SMRT play a crucial role in developing high-quality designs, drawings, and documents under the direct supervision of and in collaboration with the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Incorporates redline markups into drawings, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.
- Conducts field measurements and drafts existing facility conditions, providing accurate documentation for project planning.
- Assists in the production of architectural presentation documents, contributing to the creation of visually compelling and informative materials.
- Supports general office functions, including printing and copying, to maintain smooth operational workflow.
- Keeps current with advancements in the field, staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Has limited client contact, focusing primarily on technical and production tasks.
- Requires a basic understanding of building materials, systems, code requirements, and construction methods.
- Possesses an understanding of drafting principles to work efficiently and accurately to produce construction documents.
- Able to meet deadlines and commitments and function as part of a team.
- Detail oriented and able to produce a high quality and quantity of work on time.
- Able to be flexible and adapt in response to changing work conditions and demands.
- Approaches the position and work in a serious, conscientious and mature manner.
- Strong working knowledge and experience using Revit.
- Basic knowledge of SketchUp and Rhino is desired.
- Experience with energy modeling software is desired.
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software is desired.
