Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team at F. Schumacher & Co. This internship offers an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of finance within a luxury brand. The Accounting Intern will work closely with our accounting team, assisting in day-to-day financial operations and contributing to strategic financial initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in financial data entry, analysis, and reporting.
• Conduct general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors.
• Compile and record journal entries accurately, adhering to accounting standards and company guidelines.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Aid in the month-end close process by preparing schedules and assisting with financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.

Hourly Pay Rate: $16 Hour

Job Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Prior internship or relevant work experience in finance is a plus.
