1500 Hours | Associate Attorney

A top-tier and tightly knit boutique law firm seeks a driven, amiable, and passionate attorney to join its team. The firm is comprised mainly of BigLaw refugees (MoFo, Orrick, OMM, Reed Smith) who wanted two major shifts in their work: 1) a more balanced lifestyle and 2) a stronger connection with their practice.

The firm delivers on both. The billable requirement is a true 1500 hours. Compensation is very competitive and on par with major law firms when considered on an hour-by-hour basis. The practice itself centers around intricate human relationships, calling for the legal analysis of psychological states, counseling clients in their greatest moments of vulnerability, and offering mediation to resolve high-stakes and emotive conflicts. All of the firm's associates were previously commercial litigators, but interested in matters with a more human element.

Excellent academic credentials and major law firm experience are required. The successful candidate will also take pride in being part of an inclusive firm; one of the name Partners was recently recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award for their work in Diversity and Inclusion.

Base comp range is $160-180k + bonus and benefits.
