Your approach for brand direct partnerships are horrible. You need to stand out from the crowd. Asking is pointless. Bringing value is key. Here are 5 value pitches that you can use to land a brand direct partnership 👇 1. Educate Them Provide assistance in areas of Amazon or Walmart they might not be knowledgeable in. Send them a Loom video going over listings that can be optimized. Photos, bullet points, titles, descriptions, etc. can always use improvement. 2. Help Them Run PPC Are they running PPC? Is it working? What's their ROAS? If they need help, show them. Use Helium10 or SmartScout to show them essential keywords to run campaigns on. Automatic campaigns are good, but it does the bare minimum. 3. Give Feedback Are their photos horrible? Are their competitor's listings better? Competitor research is key. Look at their bad reviews and see how they can fix them. Send them a Loom video breaking down how they can make them better. 4. Reviews Are they trying to get their reviews up? Reviews play a crucial role in ranking. Teaching them how to use websites like JoinBrands & much more to leverage reviews is key. 5. Affiliates & Influencers TTS is huge. So are many more influencer and creator programs. Every social media has affiliate marketing. You need to spend money to make money. Success across all TOF strategies are absolutely NOT going to look the same. Discount codes, site usage, etc has barely any return -- you have to look at OTHER avenues to see the actual value of it. The ad account lift or in your post purchase response -- where are people noting they're finding you from? So many brands think their TOF approach will generate the same return as meta ads -- it's not. So you need to have different thresholds for what you deem successful.

I'm pro DEI . . . when it comes to ecommerce acquisition channels. Don’t bet the house on one channel (Meta, Amazon, Google). We’re years past the point where that works. It's not building a resilient business. At this point, you >need< to diversify your acquisition, especially as you’ve acquired all those low-cost customers on one channel – and direct mail is the sturdy, predictably priced solution. You’re not going to accidentally spend $10k extra on a DM campaign. And you’ll be unlocking a new acquisition channel to scale. And who cares if election spend is driving up rates. I've analyzed 2,000+ wholesale distributors. The best ones share 3 common traits. Use this checklist to easily verify potential suppliers: 𝟭) 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝟮𝗕 (𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀) Many suppliers will sell to both consumers and businesses. We target suppliers who ONLY sell to businesses. They tend to have better pricing and the ability to sell us large quantities of inventory. 𝟮) 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 Many wholesale distributors only sell to certain industries. For example, I once spoke with a supplier that only sells to hospitals and the government. Even though they meet Criteria 1 and 3, they are not qualified because they don't sell to retailers like us. 𝟯) 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 Some distributors specialize in generic, imported goods. Avoid these. We're targeting legitimate, authorized distributors of name brands. The key is making sure the brands they carry already have some level of built in demand on Amazon. When a supplier meets these 3 criteria, the chances of doing business with them are high. Have you seen Walmart's new virtual shopping platform? 3D influencer storefronts and gamified experiences. Yes. It's buggy and feels disconnected today. But it won't stay like this for long. Walmart is betting on this consumer trend: We're moving from transactional ecom to -> experiential ecom. That's why TikTok shop has earned so much traction. People want a connected shopping experience. When your brand gets it right? Consumers will want to enter your brand's world. This shift could have massive implications. Product pages will become more like social media profiles. Checkouts will feel more like in-game purchases. Influencers will become your virtual shopping companions. The brands that master this blend of: Commerce, content, and community will dominate. They'll create shopping experiences so engaging that people want to hang out there even when they're not buying anything.

More on Target's Marketplace . . . Yesterday, Target came out and admitted they had 1,200 vendors on their marketplace, like it was a source of pride. But, let's put that number into perspective. Target's Marketplace has been live since at least 2018 because I remember the day like it was yesterday. Forbes got wind of it, found the test site and asked me for my perspective. So for the past 6 years, Target has onboarded 200 vendors per year, or, as an even worse point of reference, 3.8 new vendors per week!!! If you understand e-commerce, then you will agree those numbers are woefully slow (and sad), and that is before even bringing comparisons to Walmart or Amazon and into the picture. "Curated" should not be an internal code word for "Fear." Don’t let the consumer second-guess if they are getting a good deal, and definitely don’t waste anyone’s time.

KURU Footwear is driving millions in revenue with full-funnel direct mail. What started as a reliable win-back tactic became a marketing pillar. Driving warm leads (never-buyers) to convert: ➝ Prospect adds an item to their cart, retarget based on their email address ➝ After going through KURU's email abandoned cart flow and not converting, fire off a postcard to plug the funnel. Supercharging post-purchase to boost LTV: ➝ Extension for post-purchase email flows. ➝ Automatically send to a customer who hasn't repurchased in 35 days, then send a second one a few weeks later.
