I've mentioned before that in the Indian tech ecosystem, there have been entrepreneurial successes that could be considered generation-defining—setting the tone and direction for an industry and the generations that followed. I think these stand out for me. Infosys from from 80s/90s and then into the early 2000s more specifically NRN and NN among the rest of the founders who have led the charge for so many decades for driving India's IT / ITeS prowess. The Bansal duo of Flipkart setting the tone of product driven, consumer tech ventures in India in the early 2010s and then The Kamath brothers with Zerodha setting more moderns entrepreneurial trends including a stronger public social media presence as relevant in today's times. All of them also have their massive differences which is a gentle reminder that there is never one formula or path to success. Infy went from bootstrapped to IPO, Flipkart went from a VC raise to one of the most successful exits in India's history and the Zerodha brothers have budged all of that so far (no VC raise, no IPO and no exit and no mood for any of them, I guess. Yes, they bootstrapped and I guess, that will be it). So if you are anywhere on those maps - #Tech / #Entrepreneurship / #India or just #Bangalore ! Another special go-live for us. When you start your startup journey, the first big step is to validate your idea. Bipin Shah from Titan Capital connected us with two brands to discuss the original idea. One of them was SuperBottoms. Pallavi (founder of SuperBottoms) was eager to share her ideas and feedback around what makes a great customer experience for her customers. Little did she know that her pain points would serve as the cornerstone of our company and the LimeChat product.
