You will find work life balance by delegating and empowering your staff! It's all about finding a balance of being very hands on with them but also allowing each one of your staff members to take more of a leadership role and make each of them realize how important their roles are at the company. I would also assign each staff member a staffing project and have each of them be the main point of contact for the project while working with them daily to ensure we are meeting the client's expectations.

If you have urgent requests from multiple clients, you prioritize them by start date! Ask each client what date you need to have someone sitting in the seat to do the position? And if they are really urgent, see if they bypass an interview and have the candidate start based on your screening efforts.

Do your homework and formulate suitable answers to all interview questions! More importantly, think about how you can draw parallels from your previous experience so that when you answer the tough interview questions you are utilizing the STAR Method - Situation, Task, Action, Result. If you cannot answer a question utilizing this method and providing a story, you are not prepared enough to answer tough interview questions and more than likely not ready for an interview.

First understand what the clash is, then assess if the clash can be solved? If the clash can be solved, look to schedule a meeting with the candidate and the hiring manager and have both parties communicate their issues and where they believe the disconnect is. After both parties communicate, look to propose some ideas and potential resolutions that can make both parties work together moving forward and have all parties agree to an action item moving forward. Once all parties agree, look to create a follow up to see how things have been progressing since that initial meeting.

Be sure your resume has a story and it shows that you have experience doing the job already. In addition, you must find a way to differentiate yourself from the 100+ other applicants the company is going to receive.

Always ask your stakeholders, clients, and candidates for feedback. This will help you strive to better than yesterday and realize that you are trying to grow a business that will last and not be here today and gone tomorrow.
