August unemployment rates are fairly steady, reinforcing (with Fed rate cuts) that markets may be turning in a favorable direction. The unemployment rate worsens across many demographics, suggesting that teams should challenge themselves to seek #Diversity (and the fresh ideas, experiences and innovation that comes with it). Here's what I see working for the teams AccruePartners is working with: (1) Focus on team cohesion, #engagement and focus as you rally around renewed business objectives. (2) Encourage teams to craft, innovate #experiment with the "hows" of delivering success in ways that draw upon their strengths...allowing leadership to set business goals in ways everyone can understand and recognize success. (3) Champion #digital enablement that gives permission to stumble and fail at times to create #PsychologicalSafety in the pursuit of new ways to be successful.

As this conversation, #AsimHussain makes a very good point. In the high growth situation, beyond looking at total reduction, need to look at per unit energy consumption and work consistently towards driving that down. While with growth the #energy consumption will increase, the absolute increase in consumption would be lesser compared to growth. Or even better if the per unit consumption is reduced significantly the absolute change could be negative. #sustainablegrowth #greenIT #carbonfootprintreduction

The White House announced that federal agencies were required to designate chief AI officers #CAIO “to ensure accountability, leadership, and oversight” of the technology...and every business owner should do the same. The key for an SMB is to find a CAIO who can effectively bridge the gap between technical #AI expertise and business acumen, especially with limited resources. This doesn't have to be a full-time position; it's perfect for a fractional role. It does not necessarily need to be a machine learning engineer or data scientist. They just need to understand how to apply existing AI tools and technologies to different parts of the business. For an SMB, the CAIO's priority should be identifying opportunities to deploy AI to automate processes, improve efficiency, and drive new business. I talked this morning to an IT executive who said her department is consumed by the question of how IT changes in the next few years.
