“When I first found out I had a medical condition I probably went through 4 residents and never really got the chance to establish a relationship with any doctor to help take care of my condition. It became frustrating to constantly have to explain myself over and over about the condition and how I felt daily to several different people. At one point I was just over seeing so many different people so I researched a neurologist and decided to go with Rany. Finding him was one of the best decisions I had made. He is a awesome doctor to work with and he truly cares about his patients. I feel that he is extremely knowledgeable in his work and does a great job of explaining the type of care you need. I felt great when I walked out that office. I have yet to find a doctor such as him in my new state, but he is great at what he does. ”

What are some effective ways to build a professional relationship with a healthcare consultant?
In my experience entities seek out consultants for one of 3 reasons: 1. They know there is a problem, but don’t know where to start or have the experience to solve it. 2. They know what the problem is, but have no concrete plan to tackle it. 3. The issue boils down to bandwidth and ability to adequately execute a solution. A good healthcare consultant can very quickly surmise which of these three buckets are in question first step towards a solution can be built.

What are some effective ways to build a professional relationship with a healthcare consultant?
I have found that one of the most imperative aspects of engaging your consultant are to be critically clear of the question at hand. If the true problem is not understood fully, no viable solution can be found. Great healthcare consultants are able to evaluate a situation and see the angles based on experience and strategic thinking that perhaps have been missed. Again, if you’ve yet to clearly identify the problem, allow the consultant to dig in and help identify it before asking for a fix. In my experience, the best outcomes occur when there is very clear openness about a particular situation. It’s not about ego. It’s about the solution.
