“If there is one word that symbolizes what Peyton Knippel is what he represents it's HONEST. If you were to allow just one more word it would be PROFESSIONAL. Peyton Knippel saved me. This past year I was thrust unexpectedly into a situation where I had to transition out of the military and across the country with almost no notice and due to circumstances completely out of my control and fault. I had very little options and needed help fast or things were going to get very bad very quickly. I knew the person to ask for help and advice that would have the quickest impact was Peyton Knippel. He told me in no certain terms how much I needed to work on my resume and interview skills. This was counter to the advice I was getting which was the standard "looks good, good job" tropes. I knew Peyton was right. He took hours of his precious time that he could've used to be a Father, Husband, Leader while transitioning careers himself to help me be successful. He didn't stop until he knew I was going to be ok. He kept up with me and made sure I was still doing good. Because of him I secured meaningful employment and will continue to be successful. Most call it extraordinary, but that's just who Peyton is. Extraordinary is his standard. As a young Ranger private Peyton was a Senior Fires NCO yet he treated me with the dignity and respect of a peer. I looked up to guys like Peyton and the early GWOT generation like Gods; they answered our Nations call and took the fight to Al Qaeda and what would become what we now know as ISIS. I learned so much from Peyton even though he didn't have to teach me anything; he would make time to teach anyone interested in fires and how to be a better combat leader. Because of guys like Peyton's example I sought after and became the first Infantryman to graduate from a JTAC course. As a TACP Peyton made an outsized commitment to the Joint Special Operations Community. The JTACs he trained have been a part of some of the most critical missions of the Global War on Terror. His ability to influence C-Suite executive decision making has saved lives both US and local national. When Peyton gives advice and counsel it is often not what the status quo would dictate. It is very much what you need to know and not necessarily what you (or everyone else) thinks you know or wants to as cliche as that may sound. It's just the truth. Peyton works with truth not fiction. Peyton does this from a position of empathy and love; his passion for helping his team achieve their very best is what drives Peyton. He truly places his team before himself and makes sure everyone is reaching their full potential. Peyton is one of the national treasure's borne from the aftermath of 9/11 that a monetary worth cannot be quantified. Peyton's expertise is literally priceless.”
