With more than 400 vaccine trials underway, the future of cancer care is bright, my colleagues @Bernadette Bourjolly, Christina Corridon, Adi Natu, Sankalp Sethi and Chris Wong argue in this new piece. That’s not to say the path forward is without obstacles. They detail the development, manufacturing and distribution challenges #pharma companies must overcome to demonstrate the value of these vaccines.   They also write that individualized neoantigen therapies (INTs)—personalized treatments that are tailored to a patient’s tumor’s unique mutational signature—are especially promising.  How do we develop more personalized treatments? We’ve long advocated for partnerships in the R&D space, and it’s encouraging that several strategic partnerships are focused on accelerating INT development. Just last year, the U.K. government and BioNTech reached an agreement with a goal of helping 10,000 people benefit from personalized cancer vaccines by 2030.
