As an participant in the Education Studies program, one of the tasks we were faced with was creating a project based on Nikole Hannah-Jones's "1619 Project". I opted to create a website that grew into an even larger project than originally intended by the course curriculum. The website is aimed at disrupting the way in which race and racism are approached in education. It goes further to suggest that the path moving forward directly involves having all people involved and educated on facts rather than fictional accounts of American history.
