Memorial Day used to be the official opening of the summer movie blockbuster season. In honor of that I am posting this clip. (Please turn sound on.) This clip is a tech test for my next film. It tests generative AI, new sound manipulation software, AI music soundtrack generation, off the shelf visual fx kits, and new audio kits sold to allow you to make your own Star Wars like sounds. This short test is designed to look as though it were a clip from an actual film. It proves that AI is definitely something that can be used to help indie filmmakers like myself. As a filmmaker my job is the tell the best visual story possible while maximizing my resources. This is how I am mentoring my son his CompSci classes... I just keep repeating it over and over. I should hire my daughter to do the same thing as it's pretty common. READ THE REQUIREMENTS! That's all. That's every point he's missed on every project. Just read until you understand and ask questions if you still do not. His prof makes everything seem so simple, if you read and follow the requirements. But that seems to be the hardest part, the lesson the prof is trying to convey. He even lists the crash and burn rules. "If you support grammar that was not given then -100" etc. There is no room for misinterpretation. Therefore my help is just me reading the assignments back to him and making sure he has done what they say. Then again, maybe it's not a good lesson as requirements are rarely this in depth. Perhaps it's just 20 years of giving the same requirements that leads to this level of detail. I'll keep that to myself for now, he doesn't need to know that 🤫

Nvidia's new financial statements may not be so Perfect Nvidia's recent financial report showcased revenue surpassing market expectations by 5.47% and earnings exceeding forecasts by 8.38%. Additionally, the revenue guidance for the next quarter is projected to be 5% higher than anticipated by analysts. However, from my perspective, the results were not particularly impressive. While this opinion is subjective, I invite differing views in the comments. Compared to previous reports, the current one falls short of the significant beats Nvidia has achieved in the past. When juxtaposed with other major tech companies, Nvidia's EPS growth rate lags behind. Other tech giants have demonstrated higher EPS growth rates, making Nvidia's performance less stellar in this regard. The sole area where Nvidia stands out is its forward revenue guidance, which is higher than market expectations—a metric not typically provided by other tech companies. Following the recent stock price increase, Nvidia's P/E ratio has significantly declined. A P/E of 30 three years from now seems reasonable to me, especially when compared to other AI-related stocks, making Nvidia relatively undervalued. Nvidia's year-over-year growth is astounding, with Q1 revenue reaching $26 billion, a 3.6-fold increase from $7.2 billion last year. However, focusing solely on year-over-year growth feels retrospective, similar to the Federal Reserve's discussions on inflation. Therefore, I believe we should pay more attention to its quarter-over-quarter growth. Quarter-over-quarter growth has decreased from 88% in 2023 to 34%, 22%, and 18% in subsequent quarters. The next quarter's guidance projects revenue of $28 billion, implying a quarter-over-quarter growth of 8%. This trend suggests a continual decline in growth rate, raising the possibility that Nvidia's quarter-over-quarter growth could approach zero or even turn negative in the future. Looking ahead, the demand for Nvidia's cloud center services from major tech companies shows no signs of slowing down. As long as capital expenditures by other tech firms continue to increase, Nvidia's long-term prospects remain positive. Jensen Huang mentioned in the earnings call that demand for Nvidia's H200 and Blackwell chips far exceeds supply, and he expressed no concern over other tech companies developing their own chips.
