Literacy and gender equality art project for children in emerging countries; on behalf of the global organization “Room To Read.”
• Project managed and launched online marketing & PR campaign for this international charity art project: 71 internationally renowned artists from the film, animation, illustration, and comic fields joined to create original art in a traveling sketchbook to benefit literacy and gender equality for children in emerging countries on behalf of global organization Room To Read. This red sketchbook was passed from one artist's hand to another through 12 countries over 5 years. Artists include James Jean, Oscar winning film director and co-founder of Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki; animation legend Glen Keane; Frederic Back, a two-time Academy Award winner for Animated Short Film; and acclaimed French illustrator Rebecca Dautremer.
• Project culminated in an auction of the highly prized book in Brussels, Belgium where we raised over $100K and funded several libraries and local books in SE Asia. Show less
