Here's how you can improve your relationship with a difficult boss in outside sales.
My boss is not difficult and I am very grateful. However, when showing initive put the work in. Creating a one pager with the following: Why you want to do something. How you plan on doing it. What the KPIs will be. Who will be involved and or need to know and could be affected by the idea/experiment. When you want to start the project and or experiment. Providing all of the information will show you initive and thought process. Then your boss can review it and add or address things you didn't. It will show respect for your boss while sharing your desire to grow with the company. It may change the workplace relationship.

How can you excel in service sales and become a top performer?
Building relationships that are authentic and real is the key to long term sales success. People buy from people they trust and they remember how you made them feel. If you want the quick win you will work harder, and miss out on the joy of truly building a relationship that will last past the one interaction and bring prosperity to you that is financial and personal.

What does a head of sales marketing do?
Have an open and growth mindset. To be an effective sales leader you must to lead by example, you must listen and encourage people to grow beyond what they believe their own potential. You will have a large variety of administrative tasks. I believe the most important is relationship building and networking. Teach your sales team to always be networking. Show up, follow up, ask for the sale and sign up!

He was looking for a career change when covid hit - he was with his previous company for 9-10 years and he felt like that was a long enough time that he shouldn’t have to worry about getting laid off.
Luke went to work for Zen Windows Kansas City and after the first 3 weeks he got more sales than the territory had ever had gotten before. Then the next month he doubled that again.

Luke went to work for Zen Windows Kansas City and after the first 3 weeks he got more sales than the territory had ever had gotten before. Then the next month he doubled that again.
He says then he started managing the corporate locations 3 years into working for Zen Windows and he is now managing 7 locations - 4 employees and about 40 installers throughout the locations.
He wasn’t really happy with the answering service that they were getting in Kansas City. He wanted a company that they could use anywhere with any new location and the onboarding would be seamless. He says after the first 1-2 months of using AnswerConnect they knew it was a good fit and they wanted to bring on the other areas.
One of the things they needed the most help with is the phones were ringing off the hook and they couldn’t focus. “You’d be on a call and 3 other calls coming through”
He no longer hears callers complaining about agents being rude or missing out on business because of an interaction with the answering service, that just doesn’t happen. “You guys really do hire good people. It is very very rare that there is any problem. And if there is a problem it is not a huge deal.”
