As Director of Education Programs, I created and organized the United Space School preparatory curriculum for all incoming students, supervised and conducted the grading of all preparatory assignments, maintained the content for USS Team Descriptions, organized the USS guest speaker schedule, and worked with the Head Teachers and Mentors to ensure the best possible learning experience for USS students.

In my at-large role, I advise the FISE Board on industry trends and help develop new curriculum elements for new programs. This includes creating and evaluating options for updating the United Space School program in future years.

As a volunteer, I helped run simulated missions on the Observer spacecraft (either in the simulator itself or from the control station), troubleshooted problems that arise during the missions, sometimes served in the "Mission Commander" role to ensure the overall program runs smoothly, and coordinated and ran related STEM education activities on special event days. I also designed the "flight patch" and "crew gear" for fellow volunteers to wear during our missions.

This feature of AIAA’s forums offers engaging conversations with experts covering a spectrum of timely topics including programs, systems, policy, operations, applications, platforms and more.

In particular, I led the creation, development, and execution of the Space Policy for Rising Aerospace Leaders roundtable and the panel covering the evolution of the International Space Station as a field laboratory. I also assisted with the formulation of the first-of-its-kind Lightning Networking session with the NIAC Fellows and ensured that the other sessions, organized by volunteers, were properly integrated into the conference agenda and logistics plan.
