During my time as a member, I had opportunities to attend events and listen to speakers, such as admissions officers from graduate programs in counseling and social work, and representatives from non-profit organizations like Catholic Charities. A Stevenson University club helping to raise money for the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society. American Cancer Society Colleges Against Cancer is a nationwide collaboration of college students, faculty, and staff dedicated to eliminating cancer by initiating and supporting programs of the American Cancer Society in college communities such as Relay for Life.

As a volunteer in 2015, I coordinated a team for the event while raising money to help the fight against cancer.

As a JA volunteer I committed to participation in programs ranging from a single school day to a weekly visit of one hour each for five to 10 weeks.

-November 2017: Participated in Junior Achievement of Central Maryland’s Biztown event.
-December 2017: Participated in Junior Achievement of Central Maryland’s Path to Promise Career Booth.
