The Carma approach to Congestion Pricing includes both debits and credits to insure Fairness and Accessibility Smartphone Integration: Our model uses smartphones to provide dynamic toll pricing based on congestion levels, ensuring that users pay a fair price for road usage. With smartphone penetration rates at 85% in NYC and 81% in the USA overall, our solution is widely accessible. Alternative Solutions: For those without smartphone access, we leverage lightweight, portable solar-powered license plate readers. These readers do not require power or communications infrastructure and can be easily clamped onto existing light poles. This ensures that all users are accommodated without the need for expensive gantry installations. Proven Success Real-World Implementation: Our solutions have been successfully implemented in various regions. In Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), we have 22,000 users participating in road pricing and 85,000 using GoCarma since January 2020, supported by 1,200 customer testimonials. This proves the effectiveness and scalability of our model. Cost Efficiency SaaS Model: Our Software as a Service (SaaS) model incurs zero infrastructure costs for the agency. Furthermore, our transaction pricing is less than half the cost of the traditional gantries and toll tag readers, making our solution economically advantageous for both the agency and the users. Express is finally getting greater print capability. The fundamental PDF output is far superior to Canva, but Adobe hasn’t dotted the i’s or crossed the t’s on the details required for highest-quality print output with out-of-the-box features. Instead, they have made Express nicely extensible, so third parties can take it that last mile. Even right now, today, Express can produce great output for print: you just might have to augment it with other Adobe technology. This brings back memories of InDesign 1, 1.5, and 2.0. There were no tables, paragraph rules, or long document features. Third parties built these things, though, and Adobe put them in the product later. The example with Zazzle is cool, because it was all built on a public SDK. Any printer cam build their own add-on or embed SDK app to use this great editor to feed their press.

The New York ecosystem for dual-use technology is small but strong and growing rapidly. Thanks to companies like Decisive Point and @a16z who continue to support the community with networking events for founders, investors, and community members. More and more founders are recognizing the value in partnering with the DOD as a strong way to support the country's national security interests while hopefully decreasing the tax burden on citizens regarding government spend as commercially available technology becomes more available and affordable for government organizations. Another great Boston Generative AI meetup with Judah Phillips. He assembled a great panel Clement Cazalot from Machinery Partner, Patricia Geli from C10 Labs, Jeff Catlin from InMoment, Nathan Treloar from Orbita Questions and Answers included Healthcare and biotech using generative AI and the challenges East Coast vs West in the AI race: which cost is better to live and work in? How Massachusetts is working with the government to be an AI leader. A vital answer from the panelists for AI startups is that it is essential to build abstract layers as generative #AI models are constantly changing rapidly. You never want to be locked into one model. The best statement came from the last meetup when a panelist stated, "We are in the first inning of the AI game." What we see today will be vastly different one year from now. #WSIWorld #generativeAI
