I was Customer Facing Excellence Champion for Taiwan. This project was a global initiative in which Taiwan was one of the first six countries in the world. There were 6 workstreams in the initial phase: segmentation and targeting of customers, enhancing the skills of the first line sales managers(FLSMs), salesperson activity levels, coordination of customer facing functions and also alternative sales models.

In Taiwan, we focused on segmentation and targeting and enhancing the skills of the first line sales managers. Segmentation and targeting was relatively easy and just involved some analysis and retargeting. However, enhancing the skills of the first line sales manager was more of a change management project - I had to lay out the differences in coaching time and styles (which we found through surveys) that were prevalent within the team, and then gain consensus/alignment from the first line sales managers and the higher-level managers as to what was the "proper" way to be an FLSM. Then we created the certification project to make sure that all FLSM's had the prerequisite skills at the proper level.Other creators -
