“I have been absolutely impressed with Jeremy's work, and work ethic this term. In addition to ramping up in record time, Jeremy has been able to deliver features at a velocity that rivals a senior developer. But beyond the speed of work, Jeremy has had the greatest attitude of anyone I've worked with before. He gets super excited about new features and delivering customer-facing value (not just technically challenging work.) Jeremy has been able to implement some very sophisticated features that are par with modern large scale sites like LinkedIn and Facebook. He always takes direction extremely well, and has had great suggestions for making the product even better. Jeremy has needed hardly any supervision, and many a time he took the initiative and made the right decision in absence of guidance, but also had the wisdom of knowing when to check in. I am sad to see Jeremy go, and would welcome the opportunity to work again with him any time. Fantastic job Jeremy, you will do great out there!”

Effective Partition Pruning Using Globally Encoded Partitions
Issued US11163773B2
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for partition pruning using globally encoded range partition information. An embodiment operates by partitioning a data table into a plurality of data partitions, determining a plurality of sub-partitions within the data partitions, and determining a global range table based at least in part on value ranges corresponding to the sub-partitions. Further, the global range table may be used to determine bit vectors for…
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for partition pruning using globally encoded range partition information. An embodiment operates by partitioning a data table into a plurality of data partitions, determining a plurality of sub-partitions within the data partitions, and determining a global range table based at least in part on value ranges corresponding to the sub-partitions. Further, the global range table may be used to determine bit vectors for the data partitions and query predicates. In some examples, the bit vectors may be used to determine whether to prune data partitions during execution of a query over a large data volume.
