Let's start a conversation! I am curious to get thoughts from my peers in the Gaming Industry regarding what you all think the next "Rebirth" iteration will be for casinos? Las Vegas started with the promise of legalized gambling, then provided exceptional entertainment via performers, mega resorts soon followed offering great dining venues and themes. Recently it seems Las Vegas is now betting on sports venues being added to help entice visitors, (Formula One Racing, NFL, NHL, etc.). Personally, I think the next biggest rebirth for our industry will come from providing exceptional customer service. Not that many of us do not already strive to provide this, but in this era of computer automation for many bookings, questions, production, etc., I believe the value of actual one on one personal contact will increase exceptionally. Providing the "Extra Personal Service Touch" will have enormous impacts on bottom lines. This could range from simply speaking to a live agent for bookings and information, to providing a small gift on check in such as fresh cookies... "To make your stay with us a little sweeter" or having more face to face conversations on the floor about events, promotions or just creating a more personal bond. Sometimes I feel that the smallest details sometimes get overlooked, but can actually have a profound impact. What are some of the areas you think will be key to the next "Rebirth"?
