The Commission is comprised of elected officials, Cook County department heads, and representatives of private and philanthropic entities. The Commission will focus on developing projects that encourage job creation, workforce development,
entrepreneurship, community revitalization, and industrial development in the City of
Chicago and South Suburban Cook County.

The Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies is a membership organization which serves as the network for Illinois’ not-for-profit corporations and units of government which strive to raise the health, education and economic standards of Illinois’ citizens living at the lower social and economic margins. The Association serves the collective interests of its members through representation, educational programs, information exchange, advocacy and other support services.

Collaborate with the White House Covid Vaccination Outreach and the Governor's Office of Illinois to educate, and vaccinate 1.5 million low-income individuals in Illinois through outreach efforts during this pandemic.

Serve to advise the Comptroller on issues related to local government finances and assist in the development of an overview of the spending practices of Illinois’ more than 8,000 units of local government. Also provide assistance to local government officials. Serve the Comptroller in an advisory capacity, at any time, by request or at its own initiative, submit to the Comptroller any recommendations concerning the administration of local governmental finances.

Ensuring that current and future generations of patients have access to exceptional healthcare in the unique healing environment that is Swedish Covenant Hospital through Philanthropic efforts.

Made up of local community leaders, helps guide the station’s focus on important local issues that affect the communities the station serves. Serves as the moral compass of the station, comprised of over 85 civic, business, and community leaders from around the city.

Assist in the leadership and direction of the Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies whose primary purpose is to lobby the Illinois General Assembly, Congress, and state government on behalf of IACAA’s membership.

The purpose of the Advisory Group is to advise the City of Chicago on the design and implementation of the $31.5 million cash assistance pilot. The pilot will provide $500 per month for one year to 5,000 low-income households. The Advisory Group will work with the Department of Family and Support Services and the Mayor's Office to ensure the program is equitably and intentionally designed and implemented to meet the needs of participating low-income households who have been financially hard-hit by COVID-19, and to support their path to greater economic stability and health over the duration of the pilot (and beyond).
The Advisory Group will support the City of Chicago to use this pilot as an opportunity to design comprehensive City-funded solutions to address the intersectional drivers of poverty in a way that complements and strengthens our existing safety net. This pilot, paired with a research evaluation, will also advance a national field of practice and knowledge around City, State and nationally run cash assistance programs for individuals and families.
