I stopped playing competitive Gaelic football years ago but still actively participate on the surfing side - hitting the water is a lot easier on the body than hitting the ground or another person!

The BBB Torch Awards are the way the Better Business Bureau celebrates ethical business practices in the marketplace. Businesses selected as Torch Award winners have demonstrated a strong commitment to integrity, customer service and community involvement. When consumers see the Torch Award winner logo on our company’s website, marketing materials and social media platforms, it further enforces that we are among the top ethical businesses in Southern California and possesses a strong moral fiber.

“The Torch Awards have given us the opportunity to show our partners, our customers and the business community our commitment to ethics and to our customers,” says Conor Coffey, President of My Lineage. “We have made a conscious effort to conduct our business with integrity in the name of enhancing excellence in our marketplace. We are a business consumers can trust and the Torch Awards have given us the platform to share that.”

My Lineage is a heraldry company working with consumers and the armed services. Based in San Diego, My Lineage works locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. A large proportion of its revenues go directly to programs that serve the social infrastructure of life on Army, Air Force, Marine, and Navy bases.

For the past 17 years, the San Diego Better Business Bureau has hosted the Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics to promote not only the importance of ethical business practices, but the willingness and efforts of outstanding businesses to ensure that our marketplace remains fair and honorable. Each year, one winner and up to two finalists in eight categories, varying by the size of the company are presented with their own torch award.

“The Torch Awards allow the BBB to honor businesses that epitomize ethics and integrity,” said San Diego BBB President/CEO Sheryl Reichert. “These are the businesses that are doing the right thing for consumers in a time when so many others struggle to be accountable.”
