Has anyone here used Trustcloud for compliance?? 🤔 I see a lot of ads for this platform on Linkedin lately. I don't know this company, they are direct competitors to big players like Vanta and Drata. I got curious because they offer a free plan for startups when their main competitors charge more than 10k a year. I always have the "too good to be true" mindset, but some big companies also provide free services to smaller companies as a way to win them when they grow (Cloudflare is the best exemple, free for small companies but an incredible offer). Soooo, I'm wondering where Trustcloud stands if anyone has used their platform. Please share your thoughts 😬 If they are reliable, I think that it could help a lot of startups here to begin their compliance adventure. PS: this post is not there to debate on the use of compliance tools. My point is more that if there is a way to save money here and use that to actually increase your cybersecurity posture, I think that's something to consider. Elad Erez, great analysis as always and well deserved on the views :). I think we also need to consider non-core SIEM players that have evolved to see SOC as the "central nervous system" in the security stack. Take for example Crowdstrike (buying Humio) with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, Sentinel One (buying Scalyr) with AI SIEM, Fortinet SIEM... none of these are core SecOps players but are evolving based on where majority of the data is ingested from ie. Networks and Endpoint. I would also point out SIEM is not a SIEM anymore, we started off with a log retention engine, this has now evolved with features and functions that include analytics (ingest, process), logging and response (SOAR). I think we the definitions need to evolve, I don't consider this a SIEM War but more a SecOps Evolution (with AI obviously)... where consolidation will be an ongoing debate!
