Sponsored Messaging banner creatives

Adding a banner creative to your Sponsored Messaging message ad or conversation ad provides additional promotional value to your ad. If a member clicks the banner creative in your message ad, it automatically redirects to your chosen landing page. Banners for conversation ads aren't clickable.

Banner creatives are not required for message ads or conversation ads, but if you don’t include one, ads from other advertisers might appear in that slot. If you don't have a banner ad, consider using a stock photo or product screenshot instead.

Important: The banner creative in the right rail only shows on desktop if a member clicks the Messaging icon at the top of the LinkedIn homepage and views the messaging page. If the Sponsored Messaging is viewed on a mobile device or in a conversation window, the banner image won’t appear.

Image specifications

  • 300 x 250 pixels

  • File Type: JPG, GIF (non-animated), or PNG (no flash)
  • Maximum file size: 40 kb
