Earlier this week Workforce Solutions teams collaborated to provide economic information and encouragement to students at the ⭐Student Leadership Summit⭐ organized by Region 14 ESC on the lovely campus of Hardin-Simmons University. Maurine Carrion and Lauren Dassel presented information to help students understand the services available to them. Serving as a brief opening act for Maurine, Teresa Bridwell also facilitated materials and activities for the resource fair and breakout session. 🎤Kevin Lee delivered the keynote address. He is known for empowering students, educators, and parents to break generational cycles and make a difference in their lives. We know him as a passionate advocate for the potential in each individual regardless of their circumstances and someone who appreciates Abilene hospitality. We may have a future Texan in development.

Today, we proudly hosted our 2024 Fall Youth Success Summit, welcoming representatives from our rural schools who partner with the rootEd Alliance program. Through this program, career advisors are placed directly in schools, playing a transformative role in guiding high school seniors toward career paths aligned with their personal goals. By equipping students with valuable tools and knowledge, these advisors open doors to economic opportunities and brighter futures.
