Integration exercises are real-life scenarios that test the cadet’s skillsets. The week concluded the week with the Phase III test. Please help us congratulate Master Trooper Troy Stage as he retires after 30 years of dedicated service! Growing up, Stage worked on a sod farm and served as a busboy. His interest in law enforcement grew as he worked in uniformed security, loss prevention and credit card fraud investigation. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in law enforcement in 1992 from the University of Minnesota – Mankato. Stage joined the Wisconsin State Patrol in July 1994 and graduated as a member of the 44th Recruit Class. During his career, he was assigned to Jackson, St. Croix and Douglas counties. Career highlights include serving as an assistant training officer for the 47th Recruit Class and assisting in the mutual aid request at the 2016 Republican National Convention.. Trooper Stage served as a field training officer, recruiter, background investigator and crash reconstructionist. He also instructed Standardized Field Sobreity Tests (SFTSs), CPR and RADAR/LASER/VASCAR. Thank you, Master Trooper Stage for your service and enjoy your next chapter!

WSP 69th RECRUIT CLASS UPDATE – WEEK 20 This week, the class was accompanied by the 70th Recruit Class for intoximeter certification. The 69th additionally studied hazardous materials, weapons of mass destruction, and juvenile law. The 70th was certified in Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE). In addition to their studies, they practiced marching as a group. On Friday, the classes honored Trooper Dimas’ line of duty death and remembered his service by attaching a tassel to their class guidon for the day. . . . #WSP69thRecruitClass #WSP70thRecruitClass

On June 14, 2009, Trooper Jorge Dimas, 23 years of age and an 11-month veteran of the Wisconsin State Patrol made the ultimate sacrifice when he lost his life due to injuries he sustained in the line of duty while working traffic patrol in Polk County. Trooper Dimas was seriously injured on May 9, 2009, when the patrol vehicle he was operating was struck by another vehicle as he was in the process of initiating a traffic stop. . . . #NeverForget #Service #Honor

WSP 69th RECRUIT CLASS UPDATE – WEEK 19 This week, the 69th Recruit Class was taught Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST) and learned about drugs that impair. It is the mission of the Wisconsin State Patrol to provide exceptional public safety services and one of our core enforcement efforts is operating while under the influence (OWI) laws. In addition to their studies, the class partook in the Murph Challenge, which includes 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and a 1-mile run. They also did a 5-mile formation run on Global Running Day. . . . #WSP69thRecruitClass
