A great day of learning! Our Downtown Development team hosted a semi-annual orientation event to go over best practices for revitalization and how to take advantage of all of the services available to Main Street and Connect Communities participants. We welcomed people from all over the state to our Madison office on Wednesday. There was even some time for our participants to meet one another and talk about the new and exciting things they're working on in their communities.

Work is underway on a community-supported workforce housing program that's working to stabilize communities in Door County. The Door County Housing Partnership broke ground on the first home on Tuesday. The home will be built in Sister Bay. This home and nine others will be built on land purchased from the Village of Sister Bay using grant dollars from United Way of Door County. WEDC is supporting this project through a $3.5 million Workforce Innovation Grant in collaboration with Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. Sec. Missy Hughes met the family set to move into the home, and other leaders of this project. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ekQpp7Pi #DreamItDoItWI
