We had an amazing time at the #TreesofColor networking lunch! The event brought together WillowTree interns and employees in our Charlottesville, Durham, and Columbus offices. We enjoyed fun icebreakers and discussed how office activities (even pickleball and ping pong!) help us learn about and connect with one another. Every region shared a preference for mobile engagement, clear and transparent offers, and personalized rewards relevant to their everyday spending. The most popular loyalty redemption choices are typically cash back and essential goods, which ranked highest in four of the five regions. 🌏 However, financial brands can and should cater to varied global markets, delivering personalization in loyalty programs. Throughout #Pride Month, WillowTree’s North American offices came together to celebrate and commemorate the occasion, with a number of events facilitated by our PRIDE @ WT employee resource group (#ERG). “Pride serves as an important reminder that diversity, equality, and inclusion are not just buzzwords, but essential elements of a thriving society and workplace,” said Kyle Jepson, CTA, PRIDE @ WT ERG Lead and Columbus Office Manager. “Our PRIDE @ WT employee resource group provides a space and community for #LGBTQIA+ individuals to express their authentic selves and foster a sense of belonging, acceptance, and empowerment both in their lives and within their work,” Kyle continued. “By celebrating Pride across our offices in ways both big and small, we acknowledge and honor the unique contributions and experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community, promoting equality, and challenging discrimination.”

WillowTree’s offices in Boston, Charlottesville, Columbus, and Durham recently held their annual “Makers' Markets,” hosted by our Trees with Different Needs (TWDN) employee resource group. TWDN envisions a future where WillowTree employees affected by disabilities and/or chronic physical or mental health conditions — whether personally or as a caregiver and supporter — can sustain and grow their personal and professional wellbeing. As TWDN Co-Chair and Software Engineer Lindsey "Grey" Olson summed it up, “The Makers' Market is intended to help everyone connect. It showcases what people love and dedicate themselves to,” they said. From oil paintings and handmade jewelry, to honey and macarons, “Art is often a deeply personal creation. It opens up important conversations. I love getting seeing who my coworkers are beyond their professional roles. The Market helps us achieve that,” Grey said.
