At our Southport office last week, nearly 100 agents and managers, including myself, Ryan Raveis, Ray Cashen, Tammy Felenstein, Al Filippone, and marketing staff welcomed William Gerber, First Selectman of Fairfield. He presented The Official Proclamation, naming June 7, 2024, 'William Raveis Day' in the Town of Fairfield. We are thrilled! In addition to the Connecticut Proclamation from Governor Lamont, our achievements have been recognized by the community members of the town where I grew up...it's very special. Remember, William Raveis agents bring a lot of value with real estate, mortgage, and insurance all under one roof. And, we have been doing this successfully since 1974. On a personal note, William Raveis Day is no ordinary day - it's also my father's birthday. He was the person who suggested I change the name to William Raveis Real Estate from Yankee Realty Company. Looking back, it was a wise decision and a gift that I thank Dad for every day. As promised, Tom Ferry International is running a six-week coaching series, starting Thursday at 11a.m., when Kristi Jencks (TF) will be coaching on buyer consultations and signing buyer broker agreements. This high-level webinar is designed to help our agents convey value within the new Buyer Broker landscape. Remember, Connecticut has been a Buyer Broker state since 1990, but there are a few changes that you need to be aware of. Our comprehensive training for the next 10-12 weeks includes: 1. Tom Ferry and team will share industry insights with us each week, now thru May 16. 2. April is the month to get back into the office and use Tom's slides and videos (on Raveis365) for role-playing and collaboration with your sales managers and colleagues.   • Dear William Raveis Family, The Event '24 was a huge success! It was wonderful to see everyone so happy, full of energy, and excited to celebrate and network with friends both old and new. Our 50th Awards & Celebration gathered nearly 1500 sales associates, managers, and employees including our former leadership team of Carolyn Deal, Mary Ann Evick, Joanne Paone, Terry Russo along with honored guests from LeadingRE, The Realty Alliance, and CT Realtors. Likewise, agents from Florida and South Carolina met and mingled with Raveis colleagues from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Everyone experienced firsthand our fun 360 Photo Booth, shopped Raveis merchandise, and listened to fabulous music by Mike DelGuidice and the Decadia Band. Raveis The Musical on Wednesday evening was a blast from the past with costumes and songs for every decade, along with an incredible solo performance by Stephanie Harnisch...very special. Convention activities featured motivational speaker Amy Jo Martin, and Tom Ferry gave our group an insightful perspective on Buyer Broker at General Session. Our CHP training with mortgage and insurance was well attended as were all our Educational Breakout Sessions led by Dan Prud'homme, Byron Lazine, Christa Ross, Matthew Ferrara, and Chris Raveis. I expect participants came away with a lot of creative ideas and tips for securing business this year. At William Raveis, we are committed to coaching our sales associates through every challenge and market situation.
