Ware River Consulting Launches Internship Program to Empower Native American Business Leaders Ware Neck, VA – June 5, 2024 – Ware River Consulting, a leading provider of healthcare staffing, human resource solutions, and administrative management services to government agencies and Indian Country nationwide, is proud to announce the launch of its new internship program. This initiative is dedicated to fostering opportunities for Native Americans pursuing careers in business. “I am passionate about making a difference for our tribal communities and confident our internship program will inspire the next generation of business leaders,” says Debra Goodier, Ware River Founder & CEO. “This program offers valuable real-world experience, mentorship, and creates a dynamic learning environment for both our interns and our team.” The internship program recently welcomed its first intern, Anthony (Tony) Martinez, a tribal member of the Makah Indian Tribe in Neah Bay, Washington, and a double-major in Accounting & Economics at the University of Notre Dame. Tony will gain hands-on experience in small business operations, federal contracting, and contribute to enhancing technical documents and reporting mechanisms. “We’re excited to nurture Tony’s talents and welcome future interns who share our passion for making a difference,” says Goodier. This internship program is part of Ware River Consulting’s ongoing commitment to supporting tribal communities. Dune author Frank Herbert once said, “One learns from books and example only that certain things can be done. Actual learning requires that you do those things.” Internships bridge the gap between theory and practice. They are a workshop for developing essential skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Interns can learn by applying their knowledge in real-world scenarios, not just reading about them! This experience can be a springboard for confidence as these young professionals apply their knowledge, gain valuable experience, and impress potential employers. This head start propels them further in their career journeys, giving them the skills and confidence they need to thrive! #ISBEE #Mentorship #Internships #Innovation #GrowYourTeam #CareerGoals #BusinessGrowth #WorkplaceReady

As we gather today with friends and family, we pause to honor those who gave their lives in defense of liberty. May their courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment remind us of the profound sacrifices made for our freedom. To the fallen, we offer our eternal gratitude.  To the families, we extend our deepest sympathy. Today, let us reflect on the true meaning of this day. It is more than a holiday; it is a sacred moment when we acknowledge the debt we owe to those who stood on the frontlines, who faced danger head-on, and who paid the ultimate price. Their sacrifice is woven into the fabric of our nation. It is the thread that binds us together, reminding us that freedom is not free. Today, let us honor their memory by cherishing the freedoms we hold dear—freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom to pursue our dreams. May we never forget their valor, their courage, and their love for a country that remains the land of the free because of the brave.

As a small business owner, I've always understood the power of opportunity. Seeing talented individuals flourish with the right experiences is truly inspiring, which is why creating an internship program has been a long-held goal for Ware River Consulting. We often wait for the perfect moment to embark on something new. But after a fantastic conference at #RES2024, where I connected with inspiring small businesses and leaders like Chris James, Keith F. Anderson, and George Williams, I knew this was the right time. I'm proud to announce the launch of Ware River Consulting's internship program! This program is designed to nurture the next generation of business leaders and equip them with valuable real-world experience. If you’re interested in starting your own internship program (or have lessons learned you’d like to share), let’s connect! #isbee #Internships #SmallBusiness #FutureLeaders

#res2024 was amazing! While attending the conference, I often thought of my 90 year old father, a full blood tribal member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate and wondered how he would react to so many tribal members under one roof all working for economic independence. Some day I’ll share his story. NCAIED NCAIED
