At Venice Family Clinic, we're proud to provide gender-inclusive behavioral health care. Our newest program is a Gender Identity Dialog Group through a partnership with allcove Beach Cities. Trans and genderqueer youth in the program are provided with mindfulness strategies to manage stress and improve behavioral health outcomes. 🌈 Our AFFIRM LGBTQ+ support groups create a safe space to help community members using cognitive behavioral therapy based interventions. In our 18+ drop-in support groups, people come together to discuss different topics related to sexual orientation, gender identity and self expression. Attendees ☑️ Receive support in exploring different identities and developing affirming self-talk ☑️ Enhance understanding of the role of homo/bi/transphobia and minority stress on thoughts and feelings ☑️ And learn strategies to better manager stress and other mental health symptoms (i.e. gender dysphoria) Meetings for adults are held via Zoom and are open to patients and nonpatients. We had an incredible time at our first HEART (Health + Art) Gala on Saturday. Morleigh Steinberg and The Edge from U2 received Venice Family Clinic’s inaugural HEART award and Beck performed a rousing set for the over 600 people in attendance. As he accepted the award Edge said “This means so much to us not only as artists but as human beings who believe in the power of community and the importance of access to health care for all.
