This past weekend we celebrated our LGBTQIA+ team members, community partners, and guests by sponsoring Denver’s Pride Parade to benefit The Center on Colfax. At Vail Resorts, we are guided by our core value to Be Inclusive, and believe in fostering a culture that is welcoming and inclusive for all team members and guests. Thank you to our employee-led affinity group, The Rainbow Room, and to team members across our Epic Promise and Epic Wellness teams for helping us honor the many contributions of this important community.

Two years ago, The National Brotherhood Of Snowsports celebrated their 50th anniversary at Vail Mountain, and we’re proud to be welcoming NBS back to Colorado in 2025! Keystone has been selected as the next host resort for the NBS annual summit, which will bring more than 1,500 skiers and riders to the mountain. “We are excited to return to a mountain owned and operated by Vail Resorts following the experience of a lifetime they created for NBS at Vail Mountain to celebrate our 50th anniversary,” said Henri Rivers, president of The NBS. “Our annual summit is our most important event of the year, and Keystone Resort has something to offer each of our dedicated members and their families.” Learn more about our partnership: https://bit.ly/4ev471H

National Ski Areas Association's Safety Champion award is given to a ski area employee who shows dedication toward helping employees and guests learn about safe skiing and riding, and advocates for safer work practices and healthier behaviors. This year’s winner is our very own Kolina Coe, Director of Mountain Operations at Keystone Resort, who shows exactly what it means to accomplish big goals and drive progress, while keeping safety top of mind. Kolina led the Keystone team through the Bergman Bowl terrain expansion project, with no injuries or safety incidents for employees or contractors. She also led the snowmaking, terrain parks, and grooming teams all to successful zero injury seasons, led bi-weekly Slope Safety Ski arounds, and led the creation of Keystone’s mountain dispatch team. This award is a testament to Kolina’s commitment to our Be Safe core value and recognizes the culture of safety and accountability across our resort network. Congrats Kolina! https://bit.ly/4e3exFl

As the winter season ramps up at our Australian resorts, Perisher Ski Resort celebrated the new season in a big way. The Mt. Perisher Double Chair Auction raised over $195,000 for the local community, environment and youth programs through bids for the resort’s first chairlift, a fixed grip double from the 1960s. Plus, the resort received a bonus donation from mother nature with 25 cm of snow to kick off the season! Now, the resort is making way for the new Mt. Perisher 6 Lift, a high-speed six-pack coming in 2025. https://bit.ly/4bYG611

The ‘Mountains are for Everyone’ award from National Ski Areas Association recognizes the ski area or resort group that has made inclusion a priority for guests and/or staff. This year, we were honored to win for the Gondola Gallery by Epic, a series launched in the 2023/24 season that illuminates our Be Inclusive value in a whole new way. Now live at Park City Mountain, Stowe Mountain Resort, and Whistler Blackcomb, the Gondola Gallery features one-of-a-kind art instillations and a film series celebrating the backgrounds of artists who love the mountains, including Joseph Lamont White, Jim Harris, Chief Janice George and Buddy Joseph, and Levi Nelson. This project is intended to create meaningful conversation around representation, diversity, inclusion and access for all skiers and riders. Through the Gondola Gallery by Epic, we are turning our values into action to better demonstrate representation on the slopes. Hire Manager Allan Rowson leaves Perisher today after an incredible 43 years working for the resort in the equipment hire department – first as a seasonal then permanent member of the team. He became the manager two decades ago and received the first-ever Vail Resorts Australia Epic Service Award, earning him a trip to America and Employee of the Year recognition. According to Perisher’s Operations Director Michael Fearnside, who has been there with him on his journey, he’s “someone who has been really right for Perisher. He’s always had the company at his heart, and the guest at the forefront.” Michael says Al was the champion of the guest experience before people were talking about it and he has always gone out of his way to genuinely make a difference. In doing this, he’s built-up lasting bonds and friendships not only with staff but with guests as well. "Combined with his two brothers, David and Mick, the three have made massive contributions," says Michael, "to both Perisher and to the local community.” “I would not change my journey as the friendships I have with the Perisher family is of the highest level,” says Al Rowson. “Thank you for an amazing 43 years.” 👏 We wish you well, Al and thank you for your immense contributions.
