We took our new multiplayer feature Groups for a spin with a night out in Sydney’s Chinatown alongside Broadsheet Media and creative all-rounder Kevin Cheung. We kicked things off at an OG Taiwanese spot that’s been serving locals for 30 years, then slipping away to a hidden speakeasy 🍸 It’s all part of our collab with our mates at Broadsheet to bring to life their latest digital issue: Nostalgia. A time-warp through food, fashion, culture, travel and tech that still hits today. From Australia’s oldest menu items to retro motels and vintage fashion, it’s stacked with throwbacks worth revisiting. More good nights. More good stories. Coming soon. We recently announced a change to the way Upsiders earn interest. On September 1, our new interest system launches: Grow & Flow 🌱💧 We’ve pulled together everything you need to know in our latest blog. In it, we dive into why we’re making the shift, how it works, what it means for our customers, and how to get the most out of it. 📖 https://lnkd.in/gSEy84Wx

We’re building a banking experience that feels more human, more connected, and more in tune with real life—because money should feel easy. It should be intuitive, stress-free, and something that works in the background. Our ongoing brand platform, 'Simplify Money, Amplify Life', is all about that—making money easy, so Aussies can get after what matters most. This idea shows up in different ways, most recently through our 'Better with mates' campaign, which celebrates the social side of money. The imagery (📸: Dougal Gorman) speaks to the essence of mateship, and Groups—our new multiplayer money feature—is a nod to that same spirit. As Pete Johnson, our Head of Brand & Creative, puts it: “It’s about making banking feel natural amongst mates.” Thanks to Ricki Green & Campaign Brief for the write-up. 🗞️ https://lnkd.in/gGuwsr5P

We recently launched something special at Emporium Melbourne: The Upside Dispensary—a vending machine installation featuring limited-edition tees designed by five of our favourite Aussie artists ❤️🔥 Each design is a personal take on what life on The Upside means to each person. You can check it all out now until early September—swing by and back some homegrown talent by grabbing a tee (while stocks last!). 🧠 Concept & Design: Up Art Dept. 🛠️ Installation & Build: Boom Studios 👕 Screen printing: HEAVY PRESS 🎨 Artwork: Siobhan McCarthy, Cosmo Feltham, Celeste Mountjoy, Aki Yaguchi & Olana Janfa. Cheers to our mates at Beat Magazine. See the article below for more info on The Upside Dispensary. 📰 https://lnkd.in/gWYXthsa

Money's still one of the hardest things to talk about—more awkward than politics or sex, according to most young Aussies. And for 86%, it’s sparked everything from uncomfortable chats to full-blown fallouts. That’s one of the reasons we created Groups—a new way to stay connected, split costs, settle up, and socialise—all in one place. Our Head of Growth Sebastian Neylan told The Australian, “We’re trying to meet our consumers where they are and provide authentic, natural utilities to make life easier.” Too right. 🗞️ https://lnkd.in/gUxaNrsb Cheers to Danielle Long and The Growth Agenda at The Australian. #Up #UpBank #Groups #SocialBanking #UpBanking #Fintech #TheAustralian #TheGrowthAgenda

It was 2am in Melbourne when our Principal Product Designer, Evan Simmonds, jumped on the mic with 11:FS in the UK to chat Groups: how it came to life, why it matters, and how it’s making money more social, more connected, and more fun. 🎧 Listen to the full podcast here: https://lnkd.in/gEUGk43H Thanks as always to the team at 11:FS for having Evan and the Up team on to share what we’ve been building. #Up #Groups #ProductDesign #11FS #Fintech #UpBanking #UpBank

Our latest feature, Groups, has officially landed—and it's changing the way Aussies save, spend and split money together. Groups lets you manage shared expenses with up to 10 people—friends, family, housemates, whatever. Track who owes what, settle up multiple costs in one clean payment, and keep the banter flowing with in-app chat, GIFs and reactions 🐸 Our very own Senior Customer Insights Specialist Vivin George came in hot on Channel Nine's Today Show to chat about Groups and how it's helping Up customers stay on the same page, stay on top of their money, and most importantly, stay mates 🤝 Cheers to hosts Belinda Russell, Sylvia Jeffreys, and the whole team at the Today Show for having us on. #Up #TodayShow #Nine #Groups #UpBank #Fintech #AusFinance #UpBanking

You better believe we set our alarms for this one. Good News Brews 2.0 kicked off bright and early in Sydney at Odd Culture Group, Newtown — and it was the perfect start to the day. We teamed up with our favourite morning people, The Daily Aus, to bring together a room full of legends for a big ol' spread of hot coffee, packed pastries, and a side of good news worth talking about. Shoutouts to our favourite morning hosts, Zara Seidler ☕️ and Bianca Stern, for bringing the banter while we shared some real talk over a morning cup. Big love to the TDA crew and everyone who shared their good news story — you made our morning. Let’s keep the good news (and the good chats) brewing. Where to next? ☕👇

Record Store Day 2025. This is what it’s all about. Day for it 🌞 On April 12, over 200 record stores across the country turned up the volume—celebrating vinyl, community and culture in full force. From Darwin to Hobart and everywhere in between, crate-diggers, artists, DJs, and local legends came together for a day that felt more like a movement. We’re super proud to have backed Record Store Day Australia in as they unveiled a new identity and cemented their place as champions of grassroots music and the local merchants surrounding them. Shoutout to the crew at Record Store Day Australia for supporting every corner of Australia—CEO Sarah Guppy and her crew Cara Williams & Erin Larkins, all the participating stores, the artists who performed and the thousands of punters around the country for bringing the day to life. It truly was one for the books. Support your local record store—and the people who keep them spinning 🤝 🎵 The Grogans 🎨 Up Art Dept. 🎥 Ezra Nicolau 📸 [IG] @aieshahanson @somefx @moniquepizzica #RSD25 #RSDAustralia #RecordStoreDayAustralia #Up #LifesBetterOnTheUpside For more on RSD, head to > https://lnkd.in/gDrRD25T

Big love to our new mates at PUSH (@pushmagsydney)—the print mag connecting Sydney/Eora's creative scene from the underground up 💪 They’re up-and-coming and all-in on championing emerging creatives—so naturally, we had to back it. We were stoked to work with PUSH to bring you their latest issue, spotlighting talent across Sydney/Eora: musicians, designers, writers, photographers—all the real ones 👽 PUSH magazine is stocked in stores across Sydney (and even one in Melbourne), and because they're coming in so hot, we helped them throw a big party with a bunch of rock bands—a celebration of what’s to come. We back creatives. PUSH backs creatives. So yeah... we back PUSH 🤝 You can too: https://lnkd.in/gvb3JTtq
