The goal of any Osprey student leader is to leave the University in a better place than it was when they started. For these four graduating UNF Presidential Envoys, they left no doubt, and their hard work has been recognized with the University of North Florida Osprey Community Engagement Medallion. Rebecca O'Neal (’24) will be graduating with her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. In addition to her role in the envoys, she served as President for SHPE UNF, named Student Chapter of the Region at the SHPE National Convention, and interned with The Haskell Company. Similarly, Deeyana Patel (’24) will be graduating with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering. She was also the External Vice-President for the award-winning UNF SHPE chapter and was awarded the ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) scholarship for her research work. She has also been working with the Mayo Clinic. Armani Brunson (’24) served as VP of Recruitment & Student Engagement for the Envoys, as well as President of the UNF chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and VP of the UNF National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc.. She has served as a substitute teacher for Duval County Public Schools and will complete her degree in Early Childhood Training and Teaching from the UNF College of Education and Human Services. Finally, Alexanderia Crotts (’24) served as President of the Envoys and the UNF Transportation Logistics Society, in addition to many other roles across campus. This Hicks Honors College at UNF student served as a liaison to the JAX Chamber Transportation & Logistics council, and interned with Crowley, Bacardi and Southeastern Grocers. She will be graduating with two degrees from the University of North Florida - Coggin College of Business in Economics and Transportation & Logistics. In alignment with UNF’s mission, the Osprey Community Engagement Medallion recognizes students who demonstrate exemplary commitment to the greater Jacksonville community through activities such as community-based learning, volunteerism, community or social advocacy, community-based Federal work-study, and political engagement during their years as a UNF student.
