The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides tools, training and resources to help small businesses grow and succeed. Designated as one of Georgia’s top providers of small business assistance, the SBDC has 18 offices ranging from Rome to Valdosta to serve the needs of Georgia’s business community. Since 1976, our organization has helped construct a statewide ecosystem to foster the spirit, support, and success of hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs and innovators. The Small Business Development Center, a Public Service and Outreach Extension of UGA, is funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). "Knowing that you exist," was one message that resonated strongly with the universities, colleges and partners attending last week's Innov8GA's fall conference hosted at Mercer University That was the response from Trent Coggins, owner of Recoil Trampoline Park, LLC, when asked about lessons learned building his business. He shared how important it is to leverage small business services like those offered at University of Georgia Small Business Development Center. Innov8GA, a coalition of 15+ Georgia college and university entrepreneurship departments dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and community building, held its semi-annual conference on October 20th. Together, the coalition works to support our Georgia’s young entrepreneurs with programming, mentorship, and events, led by faculty and staff, together with catalyst organizations in the ecosystem.
