The U.S.-Africa Business Center hosted a briefing with Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources, Hon. Geoffrey Pyatt, organized by the U.S.-Angola Working Group. A/S Pyatt shared valuable reflections and insights from recent trip to #Angola, focusing on significant updates in the #energy and #infrastructure sectors. The discussion also spanned U.S.-Angola commercial relations in the areas of #finance, #agriculture, #health, and other sectors relevant for the U.S.-Angola Working Group members. The U.S.-Africa Business Center is thrilled to share insights from a recent gathering in Silicon Valley, where leaders from the U.S. and African business communities convened to discuss the significant strides in Côte d'Ivoire's digital transformation. During this event, held at Google’s Mountain View headquarters the Googleplex, participants explored the vast opportunities for public-private collaboration and tech investment in Côte d'Ivoire and the broader West Africa region. These partnerships are set to unlock innovation, bridge the digital divide, and foster growth for businesses of all sizes. The discussions also highlighted Côte d'Ivoire’s National Digital Development Strategy 2021-2025, which focuses on advancing innovation, digital infrastructure, and ensuring digital trust. Notably, Cybastion , a board member company of the Chamber’s U.S.-Africa Business Center, is playing a pivotal role in supporting Côte d'Ivoire with projects like the national data center and smart city center. This meeting underscores the transformative power of digital technology in economic development and the potential for increased U.S. exports to and investment in Côte d'Ivoire.
