Our VP Energy Resources Susan Hunter received the 2024 Industry Leadership Award from Alltricity Network, an energy trade association that serves the industry through education, networking and training. This award recognizes experienced leaders who make a significant impact within their organization and are active in the electric energy industry. “I am humbled to have been nominated for the Alltricity Network Industry Leadership Award. Working at Tri-State for almost 25 years has given me wonderful opportunities to grow and develop both personally and professionally,” Susan said. “I am fortunate to work alongside such talented colleagues and feel proud of what we have all accomplished together during a period of tremendous change in the industry.” Susan has worked at Tri-State since 2000 and has led the acquisition of key resources for reliability while establishing and growing a robust renewable energy portfolio for members. Her team is responsible for managing long-term power supply contracts (including agreements for over 2 GW of wind, solar and hydroelectric projects), structuring power sales to others, acquiring new and existing assets, working with members on self-supply and standby rate applications, and meeting reporting obligations required by regulatory bodies. Please join us in recognizing Susan for all she and her team do for our members!

💡 Today is Energy Efficiency Day! Throughout this year, we've been teaming up with members to offer their communities financing for home efficiency upgrades. Through this On-Bill Repayment program, these home upgrades are repaid over time via a voluntary tariff on the homeowner’s monthly electric bill. In many cases the energy savings achieved through the newly installed measures is greater than the monthly repayment. From heat pump water heaters to new windows and doors, the available upgrades will directly improve quality of life with no money down, no credit check, and low interest rates thanks to this member-exclusive offer. 💚 Learn more about this program here: https://lnkd.in/gG8mSQ92 #CoopMonth #Cooperative #EnergyEfficiency #EnergyEfficiencyDay #Colorado #HeatPump

🙌Today at RMUE, Ellen Ross addressed co-op and utilities concerns on community solar in low-income households/areas with Jill Cliburn, at the National Community Solar Partnership U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). They explained a screening model with flexible program designs that can project these households 20-30% in savings. This model can be shared even if not part of the Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. cooperative. #BetterTogether #CommunitySolar #CleanerGrid

👏It’s been such a great week with our utility/cooperative community! Colorado Rural Electric Assn.
Tuesday was filled with excitement as industry #professionals gathered to share insights, #innovations and best energy practices at the 2024 Rocky Mountain Utility Exchange. In the morning, attendees participated in an #engaging and #informative utility roundtable discussion led by Lisa Reed (Holy Cross Energy) and Mike Beyer (Yampa Valley Electric Association). This activity is consistently a favorite among attendees, as it allows participants to engage, ask questions, and #learn from energy experts and solution providers. In the afternoon, industry experts shared valuable insights on navigating heat pump adoption, addressing obstacles in multifamily housing with electric vehicle supply equipment, and dove into the early quantitative and qualitative results of all-electric homes. We are looking forward to another great day at #RMUE! Stay tuned for more RMUE highlights!
