By leveraging advanced impersonation techniques, they effectively bypass traditional defenses, making their attacks especially challenging to detect. I’m thrilled to announce that I’m joining Todyl as the Global Head of Threat & Intel Architecture, bringing over 15 years of experience in network security, threat intelligence, threat detection, and security analytics. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on turning complex enterprise use cases into simple, practical, and impactful solutions, and now, I’m excited to help deliver top-tier security to all of Todyl’s customers. As I reflect on what makes a use case “enterprise-grade,” it’s clear that fewer than 3% of threats specifically target large organizations. Most incidents in enterprise SOCs are driven by common threats like commodity malware, phishing, and spam. This shows that "enterprise" use cases are often about the cost of achieving the necessary security maturity—ensuring comprehensive detection, minimizing dwell time, and accelerating response times. I firmly believe that everyone, regardless of size or budget, deserves the best possible cybersecurity. My work with Quad9, where we developed one of the most effective, freely available security solutions on the internet, reinforces my belief that cybersecurity is not a privilege. Just as clean water and safe neighborhoods shouldn’t be reserved for those who can afford them, neither should top-tier cybersecurity. Why should a doctor's office, school, or daycare be less protected than a Fortune 500 company? Looking at the IT landscape for SMBs, it’s clear they operate with fewer tools and less data complexity. For example, an SMB won’t have the sprawling tech stack of an enterprise—there won’t be two SIEMs, three EDRs, and more than one SOAR. This reduced complexity means achieving security maturity is more cost-effective for SMBs, and it’s not just about the price tag—it’s about knowing how to deliver that maturity effectively and taking action to make it happen. I’ve seen too many vendors spend valuable time building connectors, normalizing data, and defining common data schemas. Todyl’s modular approach to security significantly reduces the complexity of threat management, and that resonates deeply with me. I’m all in on Todyl’s vision. With the incredible talent, streamlined processes, and innovative tech stack already in place, I’m confident we can bring enterprise-level security maturity to all of Todyl’s customers—no matter their size.
