Walmart associate Jimmy Hartsfield wanted to get healthy for his new daughter Lynnon, who was born after a 4-year IVF journey. So as part of the Thrive Challenge he got more active, playing with her and their new puppy in the backyard, going on walks, and making time for activities that bring joy, like going on family hikes. As a Thrive Challenge winner, he and his wife Kylie plan to use his $15K award to cover any additional costs beyond the money Walmart provides for IVF through Kindbody, as they aim to grow their family next year. And now he’s doing the Challenge with Kylie. As he says, "We’re making time to connect. I tell her what I’m grateful for, like when she fixes the coffee or makes me my favorite healthy snack — yogurt and berries. In the evening, we’ll turn off our devices and talk about our hopes and dreams.” Read more about Jimmy's inspiring story on Thrive Global here: https://bit.ly/4fvyntF #ThriveChallenge #Health #Family #Change #ThriveGlobal

One obstacle that gets in the way of movement is the idea that you have to be an "exercise person" — like someone who’s a serious runner or always lifting weights. That’s why thinking of yourself as a "movement person" has benefits. By shifting your focus away from big activities and toward small bits of movement throughout your day — like parking your car further away from an entrance to get some extra steps in — you can make a big difference in your life.
