🎉 I am so excited to introduce the beta version of Roost Affordable to my network! 🙌 Finding affordable income qualified housing in the greater Seattle area (and nationwide) is no easy feat - especially when homes are blended in market rate communities. Over the last several months at Thrive Communities we have been working to make that easier for the neighborhoods we serve, and beyond. Why Roost? We created Roost after realizing how challenging it can be — even for those of us in multifamily — to navigate affordable housing programs and locate available homes. Roost aims to fill this gap by providing clear, real-time information on affordable housing options. During this beta launch, Roost will exclusively feature Thrive properties, displaying live (Yardi integrated) availability for affordable, income-restricted homes and detailing the programs they offer. How Does It Work? When potential residents browse Roost after finding it organically or through social channels, traffic is funneled directly to property websites. This will help us monitor Roost’s impact and reach. Bonus - Roost is multilingual with support for the top 16 languages identified by potential Thrive residents as helpful to them in their home search! Calling for Votes! Our very own Washington Thriver is representing WMFHA and in the running for winning the August Maintenance Legends contest and needs our votes by tomorrow, 8/31!   Let's support Terrance and thank him for his hard work and dedication by voting for him as National Apartment Association (Naahq)'s August Maintenance Legend: https://lnkd.in/eSm_A44y   Terrance consistently goes above and beyond, but where Terrance stands apart is his proactive approach to addressing compliance issues within the community. He took a Maintenance Supervisor role in a community that had significant maintenance issues, consistent work orders exceeding 75% of households, with multiple audits failing during previous years. Once informed of these compliance issues with company protocol and with no prior supervisory role, Terrance jumped into action addressing everything that had failed, organizing a team-wide spring cleaning of our shops and closets, with no more than 5-7 work orders ever in the system, which is roughly 5% or less of households with open work orders at any given time. He proactively got his CPO through Washington Multi-Family Housing Association and took advantage of every opportunity to learn. Terrance is the true representation of how always being open-minded to learning and proactive leadership in property management can help our teams excel and increase property performance.
