As we hit the peak of summer, temperatures across the world, especially in California's Central Valley, have reached record highs. To support our employees, Wonderful implements the following strategies to keep them safe and cool. 🧊 Supervisors monitor their team for heat illness and ensure they are provided adequate water, rest, and shade. 🧊 Shaded areas are open-air or provide ventilation and cooling that accommodate each employee comfortably for recovery and rest periods. 🧊 Employees are also provided cool water and electrolyte popsicles to stay hydrated and cool down. The safety of our employees is our top priority, and together, we continue to build a culture of safety at Wonderful.

🏅 Wonderful’s “Way of Work” (WOW) was established seven years ago to cultivate an environment that empowers our employees to challenge the status quo, drive sustainable growth, and further streamline our workflows. In June, our Continuous Improvement team hosted their biennial WOW Coach Summit in Rancho Palos Verdes, California where 120+ WOW coaches from across the enterprise (and the globe) gathered for three days of enrichment activities, leadership workshops, and networking. By constantly seeking new ways to enhance our processes and operations, we create an environment where every team member can thrive.

At Wonderful, we encourage our colleagues to take charge of their health. For us, that means offering on-site preventive care ranging from free events to ongoing health and wellness programs. 🏥 Last week, we hosted FREE biometric screenings at the L.A. office – to give employees the opportunity to receive insights into their overall health with just a prick of a finger. We know that preventive visits with primary care providers are crucial. That’s why we created our Birthday Check-up Program – to award employees (and their spouses) enrolled in our medical plans the chance to earn up to $800 in credit towards medical premiums. Additionally, in the Central Valley, eligible employees (and their covered spouses) can receive a clinic-issued gift card – bringing the total possible reward to $1,000 for both – if they complete their screenings at one of our Wonderful Wellness Centers. Together, let's prioritize health!

We’re thrilled to celebrate our incredible colleague, Molly Scott, Senior Director of Grower and Community Relations at JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery for receiving the prestigious San Luis Obispo County Wine Industry Person of the Year award at the annual Midstate Fair in Paso Robles. As the youngest person ever to receive the award, Molly’s record of success, sense of purpose and stature in the community have made a profound difference across California’s Central Coast. Since joining JUSTIN in 2011, Molly has helped expand production, propel the brand and now 13 years later, oversees all grape sourcing for JUSTIN, Landmark Vineyards and Lewis Cellars. She also spearheads the wine brands’ philanthropic efforts, notably the growing Wines Community Grants programs in Paso Robles, Sonoma and Napa. In her role, Molly champions many milestone initiatives and drives critically important community support. Beyond the vineyards, she dedicates her time to mentoring women in viticulture and lends her expertise to boards. Ultimately, her influence touches every corner of Paso Robles Wine Country and ensures the region thrives as a united and celebrated wine destination. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, Molly!

This week at our National Sales Conference in Los Angeles, CA, we recognized some extraordinary colleagues from the Wonderful Sales & Merchandising team whose tireless pursuit of excellence, positive can-do attitude, and play-to-win mentality have earned them the prestigious Silver Heart Award. This award honors those who consistently exceed expectations and drive our sales growth to new heights. Every year, the senior sales and merchandising team identifies 10-12 individuals across four regional areas in North America for their exemplary work in the field. From designing monthly topical training sessions to developing a survey that ensured seamless execution for 70+ stores participating in a new pallet program, to obtaining a month-long berry case placement, and so much more—this year’s recipients go above and beyond every day. Congratulations to: Michael Osborne, Shane Dickerson, Caitlin Grindberg, George Pineda, Peter Milling, Denis Judge, Karen Garcia, Casey O'Malley, David Guynup, Dustin Wellman, Jake Secoolish, and Beau Blockovich.
